I believe one of the most difficult parts of this site… I am a lawyer by education, civil servant by choice and academic „by accident”. But most of all, I am the most faithful fan of Ola and Marta.

The fact I was raised during communist times resulted, in my opinion, immanent need to move and explore the world. Perhaps this is also the reason I was thinking to become diplomat first. However, I took a different path to work within contemporary international relations. In 1998 I joined governmental public administration, first the Ministry of the Interior and Administration for many years, and subsequently the Ministry of Foreign Affairs where currently I am the head of section in the European Policy Department. Did I achieve anything? Well, most of all I had an unique opportunity to take part in three major and grand projects: Poland’s accession to the EU, extension of the Schengen zone by Poland and finally first Polish EU Council Presidency.

I worked in the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Poland to the European Union in Brussels as well as in the EU Council Secretariat in Brussels. As a result of that I gained practical experience within international relations environment, especially in relation to EU decision-making process, its cooperation with the Member States and key third countries (in particular with Russia, the USA and Western Balkans states); international negotiations; organization and running international meetings as well as related soft skills.

Additionally, for number of years I am the researcher and lecturer in the Political Science and International Relations Faculty of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, Poland. I also teach regularly in the Collegium Civitas in Warsaw, Poland.

I speak English fluently. Also I can communicate in French, Russian and German, although still not as good as I want to…

Running is my favorite hobby, one day I hope I come back to the glider’s cabin.
